Storytelling through Art

Day 2 of Member Appreciation Week is here! In case you missed yesterday’s email, this week I am releasing brand new PowerPoints with 5+ artworks each for all 25 of the Art Appreciation Worksheets! I know these will be amazing to have on hand as you need them throughout the year!

Narrative and Character Analysis

Today’s new PowerPoints are all things storytelling and character development. With each of these worksheets, students analyze a work of art to tell the story from the artwork.

On the new narrative page, we three new PowerPoints to go with the following worksheets:

  • Narrative
  • Storyboard
  • 5 Ws and 1 H.

On the character analysis page, we have added three PowerPoints to go with these worksheets:

  • Character Analysis
  • “I am” Character Poem
  • Autobiographical Poem.

Coffee Winners!

Okay, let’s be honest. You are always a winner when drinking a cup of coffee, but today the following members won the Starbucks giftcards: Kelly W., Lori L., Kristen H., and Wes B. Woohoo! Congrats. Watch your email on Friday for your prize.

Today’s coffee winner for the testimonial prize is Georgia F.

She says:

I am an elementary art teacher that struggles with knowing what artworks to teach and how. I was trying to fit a project into every lesson and going crazy in the process. The lesson ideas, PowerPoints, worksheets, webinar videos, and all of the other resources gave me a place to start discussions that were not tied down to making art. Thus, I was able to cover a lot more material in interesting and engaging ways even with my little students. They are not bored, and I am not overwhelmed. I feel much more confident leading art discussions than I did before. This has been a win-win for me.

Submit your own testimonial for a chance to win. I’ll have an even bigger prize coming on Friday! 😉

See you tomorrow! Have a great day. 🙂
