Tired and stressed teacher in classroom

Let's say you want to do a lesson on the art of Ancient Egypt.
Where do you go?

Google.
Facebook.
Teachers Pay Teachers.
Pinterest. Yes! PINTEREST.

Soon, you’re drowning in a sea of information and mismatched ideas.

Uninspiring coloring pages. Mindless word searches and mazes.
Cookie-cutter crafts with no educational value.
Dull lessons that don’t match your grade level.

Hours (or days) later, you’ve hobbled together some learning activities and art projects, but you’re still struggling to decide which parts of Ancient Egypt’s 3,000 year history to cover - and why.

You pick a few key points and hope for the best, spend a few more hours making a powerpoint and thinking of quiz questions.

Then you remember you have to do this all again next week...

…and you get totally overwhelmed.

What do you do?

Your students deserve the best.

You deserve a life.

How do you balance the two?

What if you had access to highly-selective, tried-and-true, well-catalogued, streamlined art teaching resources?

The key points, objectives, and important art conventions are decided.

The discussion questions are thoughtful and composed.

The images are curated, formatted, and labeled.

The learning activities are rigorous, varied, and fun.

The assessments are written.

The students are engaged and learning.

You’re having fun teaching.

You aren’t stuck at your computer planning it all.

That's exactly what you'll get when you join
The Resource Library for Art Teachers.

Clarity. Confidence. Inspiration. Time.

Happy students. Happy teacher.

The overwhelm is over. Click here to join.

"I just wanted to thank you for the invaluable resource you have through Art Class Curator. Not only do you have thought provoking activities and discussion prompts, but it saves me so much time in preparing things for myself! In fact, I'm using the Aesthetics powerpoint tomorrow with one of my middle school classes and I can't wait for some of the answers they come up with. And really, I feel like I've only scratched the surface with your site as there's still so much more there for me to look through. Thank you so much for your service. I'm so glad to have found you and your site! I think you've done such an amazing job with it.

"I have enjoyed being a part of your group. It's so much more than I would have thought when I signed up. I've been a part of a couple other teaching sites that faded after a good start, but I'm so excited with YOUR enthusiasm and your breadth of knowledge. AND that you gear a lot of your lessons to middle school. I feel like I'm able to do more and stay more well-rounded in my presentations than I have been in the past."

-Chris S.

"The materials are high quality, and students LOVED this lesson [Classical Sculpture lesson] -- I was amazed at what they were able to do together. I highly recommend you find an excuse to purchase this and use it with your students -- I can't wait to use it again next year! Thank you for your thoughtfulness in putting this together -- I didn't need to edit anything!"

Hi, I’m Cindy Ingram, the innovator behind Art Class Curator!

With more than 15 years in the field of art education, I know the struggles of being an art teacher.

I was always frustrated by how much time and effort I spent lesson planning. After 8 hours on my feet, I came home to even more work! When I did manage to get caught up, there was no energy left for my own children, never mind any free time.

That’s why I created The Resource Library for Art Teachers — to share creative teaching strategies that ignite curiosity and learning in students and give teachers their lives back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Be confident in your decision by checking out what others have asked before saying YES!
to more creative art history learning and less painful lesson planning.

Will it work for me?

Are you a middle school, high school, or college art teacher?  Then, YES!
You will definitely use and love the The Resource Library for Art Teachers. The materials are focused on art history and art appreciation, so if you're a rockstar studio teacher who needs help incorporating works of art into your curriculum, you're in the right place.

The resources are not geared toward a younger audience, so if you teach elementary, you might need to do some slight adaptation. The professional development sessions, such as the Art Appreciation Master Class, are beneficial for all art teachers.

If you have questions about whether or not this resource will work for you, please reach out to me by email or schedule a 1-on-1 call.

How do I unlock new content?

There's no need! It's all available to you right from the start.

Plus, The Resource Library is a living and growing space. New materials are released nearly every week. Your membership covers all current and future products in The Resource Library for Art Teachers for as long as your membership remains active.

Can I edit and adapt the lessons for my classroom?

Yes! All of the PowerPoints, quizzes, worksheets, etc. are provided in editable formats. You will need Microsoft Office to open the documents as most of the downloads are in Word and PowerPoint formats. I've used fonts that are available on both Mac and PC, so everything will be formatted correctly and ready to use. Worksheets, quizzes, and other documents are also provided in PDF format to make for quick and easy printing.

What is your refund policy?

If you are not satisfied with your membership, I am happy to refund the full amount of your purchase within the first 30 days, no questions asked. Simply contact me using the form at this link or reply to any of my e-mails. No refunds are provided after the first 30 days, and we do not provide pro-rata refunds for canceled accounts.

Then, when you create your Special Request project, simply upload the PDF estimate to Donors Choose. For more information, visit this link.
